May is full of wonderful events featuring Menasha history. Check out the programs and events we will be a part of:
May 9: Members Only Event at Doty Cabin! If you are a member, join us at 5:30 p.m. for a very special presentation from curator Jann McBride. Not yet a member? Join today so you don't miss out on the fun!
May 11: Downtown Menasha History Walk! We joined forces with the Menasha Landmarks Commission to bring you a discussion of the Canal District. We will meet at the CommunityFirst Credit Union building on Main Street at 1 p.m. The first 150 attendees receive their button and free ice cream from The Sweet Lair.
May 20 to June 3: Historic House Hunt! We are finalizing the map of historical homes and information. Take a walk and check out the signs in front of the house to learn. Three homes have a special logo - record those addresses and bring them to the Menasha Historical Society to get your buttons. Please see our website for more details!
May 5 or May 7: Banta Village Open House. Visit during their open house hours and receive a pamphlet made by Board members Jeff Heimerman and Kathy Humski on the history of Banta Publishing and receive a button!
Memorial Day May 27: Watch for Menasha Historical Society during the Memorial Day parade!
We hope to see you at one or more of these events! Join us on Facebook or check our website for the most up to date information on what we are doing.
